Bunzl’s aim is to create value for Bunzl’s shareholders, improve the standard of living of its employees and contribute to the economic, environmental and social well-being of its customers and suppliers and the communities in which we operate.
We have identified seven CR elements relevant to our business model:
Business conduct/code of ethics;
Employees;
Health & safety;
Environment;
Community;
Customers; and
Suppliers.
These are governed by a policy framework which is approved and monitored by the Board with implementation at a business area level.
All of the CR policies apply to every business in the Group and to all directors and employees and governs our approach to all our CR activities. Failure to comply with such policies will result in disciplinary action being taken which in the case of serious breaches could lead to dismissal.
The Chief Executive is the Board Director with primary responsibility and sponsorship of all of the CR policies.
Business Area Heads are responsible for implementing, promoting and monitoring compliance with the CR policies throughout their Business Areas. Business Area Heads report compliance with the CR policies annually through the Director of Group Human Resources.
The Director of Group Human Resources, supported by the Company Secretary, is responsible for co-ordinating the operation of all the policies and reporting annually on them to the Chief Executive and the Board.
