Bunzl acquires Worldpack in the Netherlands

Bunzl plc, the international distribution and outsourcing Group, today announces that it has acquired Worldpack Trading B.V. from two private companies owned by Hans and Jos Bergen.

Based in Son near Eindhoven and in Heerenveen, Worldpack is a leading distributor throughout Benelux of promotional packaging and point-of-sale items for the non-food retail sector. Revenue in the year ended 31 December 2007 was €19 million and the gross assets acquired are estimated to be €7 million.

Commenting on the acquisition, Michael Roney, Chief Executive of Bunzl, said:
